Alternatively, they've just joined the army and you're trying to make a good first impression. 1 × Shopping. It's your duty to make sure the army stays supplied some how so make sure you pick the best weapons and sell what you need to get the funds. Wait, no! You can't sell that! It has sentimental value! 2 × Watch duty. Morning, day, evening, and night; someone has to keep a look out around camp! You wouldn't want any brigands or monsters to sneak into camp and cause trouble. 3 × Training. Wake up, wake up, rise and shine, daisies. Lesson one: A soldier must have discipline and what better way to prove that than by waking up before sunrise for some intense exercise? 4 × Healing tent. You used to be a great soldier until you took an arrow to the knee. Injuries are bound to happen on the battle field so you might as well get used to finding the healing tent now. 5 × Benched. You haven't been benched! You're just… holding down the fort while everyone else goes off to fight. 6 × Romance. Is now really the time for a confession? Did you even realize you were in love? Chat it up and get those A/S supports going. 7 × Restoration. The war is over and as much as you want to relax, there's still a lot of work that needs to be done. 8. × Desert level. The sun is blazing, the sand is hot, it's hard to get around, and did you just trip on some buried treasure or run into a mirage village's wall? 9× RNG. Shenanigans.

[ TMW you get injured in battle, but not so much that you need a healing staff out in the field - which means going back to healing tent and waiting while the healers patch up everyone who's a little more at risk of bleeding all their blood.

The gash on Florina's thigh makes it painful to sit or stand or lay down, and she looks a bit grumpy about it until she spots Ninian and her expression... fluctuates. Mostly worried. ]

N-Ninian! Were you injured as well?

[It's spring, but the nights still get pretty cold and that's just fine by Lon'qu. Actually, he rather likes it, and he can be found practicing some of the Ylissean sword strokes he's seen Chrom doing...not that there's any substitute for Chon'sin or Regna Ferox style, but Chrom seems fairly effective.]

[Sure, he's in the healing tent, but it's not because of any spears to the gut or anything quite so unfortunate, but rather because he's got a staff himself these days. He's significantly less practiced with it than Serra or Priscilla, but at least he can help out with the more minor of things.

Of course, when he sees a familiar head of green hair, he fumbles with both staff and spell tome, because that's hair he doesn't want to see here, and it doesn't strike him that she might be here and not injured because he's kind of easily distractible like that.]

and by let's rock, I mean we're tromping miserably through the desert again!! The good thing about sticking close to Nino was that it made travel through the desert a bit quicker - that was the nice thing about mages. He'd traveled on his lonesome multiple times in the past, and the relentless give of the sand made it take ages. Even so, magic couldn't do much about the heat and the merciless sun beating down on them.

Nino is a perfectly capable soldier in her own right; she's a strong girl and an enviable magic-user. He's aware of that. Yet he finds himself concerned for her nonetheless. This was not an enemy that could be brought down with a strike of lightning or a blade, after all. (More than that, there are few times when he isn't thinking of her health and safety.) ]

... Nino. [ Jaffar's slipped over to walk beside her at some point - he's quiet as death, so who knows when, really, but he does his best to speak gently so as not to surprise her if she didn't notice. ] How are you feeling?

[It hardly makes sense, but she's never been as picky as Laurent when it comes to these things. Feelings are...unpredictable. And it's not as though she suddenly went from hating him to loving him, they'd always been friends. Even back then he'd be kind of a pain in the butt and she'd get annoyed with him. And then she'd feel bad because he would get upset...she does know how shy and fragile he can be underneath that smile.

She knows the real him. She knows he means well, he's not being a womanizer on purpose, he's just...well, it's his way of coping, right? Always smiling, always playing the dandy so they won't worry. Not that it always worked, she'd still worry about him anyway because she knows him.

So she accepts his invitation for tea this evening. She kind of wants to talk to him about this.]
